Ingredients

Burger Base

  • 32 oz Prairie Legacy Beef
  • 2 shallots - finely minced
  • 1 tablespoon sea or kosher salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon fresh ground pepper
  • brioche or everything topping buns - for serving

The "Classic" Burger

  • brioche bun
  • Colby Jack cheese
  • lettuce
  • tomato
  • red onion
  • pickles
  • ketchup
  • mustard

Bacon Jam Burgers

  • everything bun
  • bacon and onion jam
  • pepperjack cheese
  • arugula

Jalepeno Avocado Burgers

  • everything bun
  • candied jalapenos
  • avocado slices
  • spring mix lettuce
  • red onion

Swiss Mushroom Burgers

  • brioche bun
  • sauteed mushrooms
  • swiss cheese
  • fresh spinach

Instructions

  • Bring the ground beef to room temperature over 30 minutes prior to making the burger patties. Finely mince the shallot.
  • In a large bowl, combine the beef, shallot, salt and pepper. Use your hands or a meat spatula to mix the ingredients until they are well incorportated.
  • Preheat an outdoor grill to 500 F. Place each burger on the hot grill. Cook for 3-4 minutes on the first side, then flip and cook for 3-4 minutes on the opposite side for medium-rare burgers. For medium, cook at least 4 minutes on each side.
  • Assemble the burgers with your favorite toppings. Enjoy!
